Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how VeulerV (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information in connection with the HeyAmanu mobile application (“App”), available on the Apple App Store and Google Play. We designed HeyAmanu so that your notes, tasks, and events stay on your device. We do not operate user accounts, login systems, cloud sync, or advertising in the App.
By installing or using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. Summary
- No account required — we do not collect registration data.
- Local storage only — your content and settings are stored on your device, not on our servers.
- No sale of personal data — we do not sell your personal information.
- Optional features — microphone (voice commands), speech recognition (device/OS service), and local notifications are used only when you enable or trigger them.
- Free app — there are no in-app purchases or paid subscriptions.
2. Information we do not collect
We do not collect, receive, or store on our servers:
- Name, email address, phone number, or other contact details through the App;
- Your notes, tasks, calendar events, or reminder content;
- Audio recordings or voice files (we do not record or save your voice);
- Precise location data;
- Advertising identifiers for targeted advertising (the App does not show ads);
- Payment or billing information (the App is free).
We do not use third-party analytics, crash reporting, or advertising SDKs in the App based on the current version of the product.
3. Information stored on your device
To provide core functionality, the App stores the following locally on your device using on-device storage (for example, AsyncStorage):
- Tasks — titles, completion status, and related task data you create;
- Notes — text and metadata for notes you create;
- Calendar events — event titles, dates, times, and reminder settings you create;
- App settings — such as language preference, notification toggles, and reminder interval options.
This data is processed only on your device to display and manage your content. We do not transmit this content to VeulerV or to any backend operated by us.
Device backup: Your mobile operating system may include your App data in encrypted device backups (for example, iCloud Backup or Google backup), according to your device settings. Those backups are controlled by Apple, Google, or your device manufacturer—not by VeulerV.
4. Permissions and how they are used
4.1 Microphone
If you use voice commands (the in-app microphone control), the App requests microphone access so the device can capture audio only while you are actively using voice input. VeulerV does not store, upload, or retain audio recordings on our systems.
4.2 Speech recognition
Voice input is converted to text using your device’s speech recognition capabilities (for example, Apple’s speech recognition on iOS or the speech service provided by your device on Android, which may include Google’s on-device or network-assisted speech services where configured). That processing is performed by the operating system or its designated speech provider, not by VeulerV servers. We do not receive the raw audio from those providers.
The recognized text is used only within the App to help create or update tasks, notes, or events according to your command. Please review your device and speech provider privacy policies for details on how they handle voice data.
4.3 Notifications
If you allow notifications, the App schedules local notifications on your device for note and event reminders you configure. Reminders are generated from data stored on your device. We do not send push notifications from remote servers and we do not use notifications for marketing.
You can turn note or event notifications on or off in the App’s settings. You can also disable notifications for the App in your device system settings at any time.
4.4 Other device access
On Android, the App may request permissions needed to deliver timely local reminders (such as notification and alarm-related permissions). These are used only for reminder functionality you configure, not for unrelated tracking.
5. Third-party services
The App is distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play. Download, updates, and store-related processing are subject to Apple’s and Google’s respective privacy policies.
As noted above, speech recognition may rely on your platform’s speech provider. We do not control those providers’ data practices.
Opening links from the App (such as this Privacy Policy) uses your device’s browser or in-app browser, which is governed by your device and browser settings.
6. Children’s privacy
The App is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the App. Because we do not operate accounts or server-side collection, we do not receive child data from the App. If you believe a child has provided information to us in error, contact us and we will respond appropriately.
7. Data retention and deletion
Your content remains on your device until you delete it in the App or remove the App from your device. Uninstalling the App typically removes locally stored App data from the device, subject to your operating system’s behavior and any device backups you maintain.
Because we do not host your content on our servers, we cannot delete device data on your behalf. You control deletion through the App and your device settings.
8. Security
We rely on the security of your device and operating system to protect locally stored data. No method of electronic storage is completely secure. You are responsible for securing your device (passcode, biometrics, etc.).
9. International users
The App is offered globally. Because data is stored locally on your device, it generally does not cross borders to VeulerV servers. If you use speech or backup services provided by Apple, Google, or other platform vendors, their processing may occur according to their policies and infrastructure.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding personal information (for example, access, deletion, or objection). For data stored only on your device and not held by us, exercising those rights is primarily done through your device and the App’s delete/uninstall options. You may contact us with questions.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version at https://heyamanu.app/privacy and change the “Last updated” date. Material changes may also be reflected in App Store or Google Play release notes where appropriate. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
